How we choose what to suggest

• Our product suggestions are general categories of preparedness supplies (for example, "a battery-powered NOAA weather radio" or "a carbon monoxide alarm with battery backup") based on your household and location and on public preparedness guidance.
• Commissions do not decide what goes into your Report. We include an item category because it fits the preparedness need, whether or not an affiliate link exists for it.
• We do not accept payment from manufacturers to include or rank products.
• Unless we clearly say so, we have not personally tested the specific products linked. Linked products are examples, not endorsements of a particular brand.
• Prices shown on our Site, if any, are our own rough estimates for planning, not Amazon prices. Check the retailer's site for the current price and availability.

Where affiliate links appear

Affiliate links appear only on our website (for example, on product suggestion pages and the online version of your Report), marked with a short notice near the links. We do not put affiliate links in the PDF version of your Report or in our emails.

Your purchase is with the retailer

When you buy through an affiliate link, you buy from the retailer, not from us. The retailer's prices, terms, shipping, return policies, and privacy practices apply. We do not send your address, household information, or Report contents to Amazon or any retailer. See our Privacy Policy.
